Dr. Galvez Tan is a mentor and model of generations of community-oriented physicians and health professionals who emulate, if not idolize him. He is an innovator and authority in public health, administration, policy, community health, public service, social responsibility and integrative medicine. He is very much looked up as a proactive social mobilizer, opinion leader and trail blazer. But despite these achievements, he remains very approachable and self-effacing professionally and personally.
